Dr. William S. Chapin is now located at Muskegon Heights, Mich.

H. G. Safford has formed a partnership with E. D. McCaa, for the purpose of conducting a business as cotton merchants under the firm name of McCaa and Safford, in Houston, Texas.

B. W. Matteson, senior highway engineer, U. S. Bureau of Public Roads, 403 Kisel Building, Ogden, Utah, has just been elected president of the Utah section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

F. O. Hale was elected last spring vicepresident and general manager of the Illinois Bell Telephone Company. The Illinois Company is one of the very important as well as large companies of the Bell system, and this last promotion of Mr. Hale ranks him as one of the leading telephone executives of the country.
