Major Frank W. Cavanaugh '99 is continuing his work as head coach at Boston College and reports from the Hub indicate that he will turn out just as good an outfit as the team which won six games, lost two, and tied one last year. Entering on his third year of coaching at West Virginia University, Dr. Clarence W. Spears 17 is building up an eleven which may surpass the whirlwind outfit, called by some authorities the best team in the East, which won 10 contests and tied one of the 11 played in 1922. Spears was head coach at Dartmouth from 1917 to 1921, succeeding Major Cavanaugh. He played guard on the Green varsity in 1914 and 1915.
James E. Robertson '22, assistant coach last year, has transferred his efforts to Oglethorpe University as head of the board of strategy. Robertson started his career at halfback for Dartmouth in 1919 and was elected captain of the eleven in 1920 and 1921.

The Gilman School, Roland Park, Md., has again signed up Bernard A. Hoban '12 to coach its eleven. Hoban was a Green quarter in 1908, 1910 and 1911. Hubert McDonough '18, quarterback in 1915, is coaching the Manchester High School team this year.
