Robert C. Clark, treasurer of the Vermont National Bank at Brattleboro, has been appointed commissioner of banking and insurance for the state of Vermont by Governor Proctor.

William Carroll Hill of Boston has been appointed chairman of the committee having in charge the celebration of Patriots' Day, April 19, by the cities of Boston, Somerville, Medford, Arlington, Cambridge, Maiden, Lexington, and Concord, on which day will be reproduced the rides of Paul Revere and William Dawes.
