Dean of Freshmen E. Gordon Bill is serving as chairman of a commission on psychological tests appointed by the College Entrance Examination Board.

Prof. Harold Chidsey will conclude a series of lectures under the auspices of the Phi Beta Kappa chapter at Union College on December 16, when he will speak on "The Realistic Mind." Dr. Chidsey relinquished the chairmanship of the department of Philosophy at Union to come to Dartmouth this fall.

Prof. J. Claude Roule is conducting a class in French conversation for members of the Hanover Woman's Club.

The Radio Club has been having signal success with the operation of its Wilder Hall set this fall. Two-way communication has been established with a port in Spain and with a station in Mexico.

A revised map of the Outing Club trails which may be obtained at the Dartmouth Book- store was issued this fall.

The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy was conferred on Professor Stuart A. Rice of the Sociology department by Columbia University on October 21.

Professor F. L. Hewitt addressed the Women's Association of the White church on "American Work in Constantinople" on November 5. Prof. Hewitt was exchange professor at Robert College in Constantinople last year.

J. S. Crandell, consulting engineer for the Barrett Company of New York City, gave a series of lectures to the rrien of the Thayer School early in November.

Mr. Arthur Corning White of the department of English has recently had a comedy "Two Black Sheep" accepted by the Little Theatre Group of New Rochelle, N. V;, which plans to produce it early in the season of 1924-25. "Two Black Sheep" will soon be published in Poet Lore and was mentioned in the LittleTheatre Monthly as one of the six best one-act plays of the month.

A. Bradley 'IS, assistant treasurer of the General Motors Company, spoke to the Tuck School students on November 13.

Armistice Day was observed by the College and community by a gathering at the flag-pole on the campus at noon. Those present stood with bared heads during two minutes of silent prayer and meditation and then joined in the singing of the first stanza of "America." Classes were dismissed early to permit undergraduate attendance.

Cup presented to Franklin P. Shumway by John E. Johnson. The cup bears the following inscription: "To Franklin P. Shumway for promoting the erection of the first cabins of the Dartmouth Outing Club 1913."
