At Manchester, N. H., on the evening of December 11, Arthur P. Hale presided at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Association of that city, of which he is president. His classmate, Judge Snow, was a special guest.

Judge Leslie P. Snow of Rochester: has sent the Secretary a copy of his recently published "Historical Address Delivered at the 300 th Anniversary of the Settlement of New Hampshire at Portsmouth, August 20, 1923." It is in pamphlet form, and is a very creditable work.

Robert G. Brown was seen during the summer in his London office by Arthur Lord, Esq., of Boston, who was given the degree of Doctor of Laws at Dartmouth in June, 1921. Mr. Lord had called( at Brown's office through a client of both, and the identity of each, with relationship to Dartmouth, was discovered accidentally. I judge that Rob has become as English as the native product.

At the annual dinner of the Alumni Association held in Symphony Hall, January 24, the following from '86 were present: Burley, Edgerly, Hatch, Sampson, Snow, and Stetson. For the first time in years, probably, "Billy" Newton was absent. Owing to the critical illness of Mrs. Newton he was unable to attend. Her demise the next morning, following an operation from which she did not rally, has brought genuine sorrow to many, and deepest sympathy. The funeral was at their apartments, 1232 Beacon St., Brookline, with interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.
