SCANDINAVIAN FOUNDATION OFFERS FELLOWSHIP

The American-Scandinavian Foundation has announced that in April it will award to graduate students of American birth a number of traveling Fellowships for study in the Scandinavian countries during the academic year 1924-25. These fellowships will bear stipends of at least $1000 each. Such Fellowships have been granted by the Foundation since 1911 and for the past five years twenty have been awarded annually, ten for Sweden, five for Denmark and five for Norway. The Fellowships offered this year are for Sweden not more than ten in any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Sciences, Administrative or Social Science, Forestry, Mining and Metallurgy, Electrical Engineering, Language and Literature, other humanistic subjects; for Denmark five Fellowships in any of the following: Industrial Organization, Co-operative Agriculture, Agricultural Sciences, Bacteriology, Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Folk High Schools, Language and Literature, other humanistic subjects; for Norway five Fellowships in any of the following: Weather forecasting, Oceanography, Hydro-Electricity, Forestry, Agricultural Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Languages and Literature, other humanistic subjects.

Application papers will be mailed on request to James Creese, secretary of the AmericanScandinavian Foundation, 25 West Forty-fifth street, New York City. Papers may be sent in directly but if the candidate wishes the official endorsement of his college they should be filed at the office of the President or Dean of his college before March 1. Application papers including letters of recommendation and a photograph, must be filed at the office of the Foundation before March 15.
