CHENEY SPEAKS TO THAYER SCHOOL

Mr. A. Cheney of the Specification Department of the Barrett Company, Boston, Mass., lectured in the Thayer School building on Friday, January 16, on the subject "Roofing and Flashing." Mr. Cheney described the various methods used to make water-tight connections between the different parts of buildings, bridges, water tanks, and other structures and explained the method of construction according to the Barrett Specification, which is used largely and is a standard which accomplishes excellent results.

The lecture was illustrated by lantern slides and samples of, the materials used in making the water-tight joints.
