At the end of the first semester, 1 Junior, 13 Sophomores and 25 Freshmen were separated from the college; and 8 seniors, 18 Juniors, 53 Sophomores and 60 Freshmen were put on probation—a total" of 39 men separated and 139 put on probation. A year ago the corresponding figures were 1 Senior, 1 Junior, 16 Sophomores and 28 Freshmen separated; 7 Seniors, 13 Juniors, 50 Sophomores and 71 Freshmen put on probation—a total of 46 men separated and 141 put on probation.

Particular interest attaches to the percentages of Freshmen separated during recent years. The class of 1924 lost 5.9 per cent by separation at the end of their first semester in college; 1925 lost 5.3 per cent; 1926, 5.3 per cent; 1927, 4.5 per cent; and 1928, 3.7 per cent.
