A large room on the second floor of Culver Hall has been equipped as a Fine Arts branch of the College Library. All of the books in the Fine Arts department have been transferred to the new branch which is open from 2 to 6 and 7 to 10 each day with a member of the library staff in attendance.
The removal from Wilson Hall of the books on architecture, painting, sculpture, music, house furnishings, engravings etc., will make room on the shelves for other volumes which could not be displayed because of the crowded condition of the library. In addition to the Fine Arts library there are also department libraries in Tuck School, Thayer School, Medical School, the observatory, Wilder Laboratory) Steele Laboratory, Butterfield Museum and in the offices of the Education, Greek, Latin and Mathematics departments.
