In Hanover May 23 the Green yearlings gained their second victory of the season at the expense of Cushing Academy. Effective work at bat offset several errors in the field. Graf and McPhail connected for home runs while Fusonie and Haley made three-base hits.

1928 Takes Three Games on Final Trip

With three defeats and two victories to its credit, the freshman nine departed for Exeter on May 26, defeated Exeter 10-1 the following day, went on to Providence and defeated Brown 1928 7-5 May 28 and wound up by setting Andover back 1-0 May 29. The last game was a pitchers' battle between Haley and Leighton. No Andover man got beyond second base.
