PUBLICATION COUNCIL FORMED
August, 1925

Shortly before final examinations the 1925-26 editors and business managers of the campus publications formed a Council of Publications. The purpose of the Council is to assure a co-operation between the six publications in matters of common interest.

The only agreement arrived at in the first meeting was the adoption of the following rule:

"That no freshman who is on probation will be allowed to compete for a position on the writing or business staffs of any publication. A;S soon as competitors sign up, a list of names of those entering will be sent to the office of the Dean of Freshmen. Those not eligible for the competition then will be notified, upon receipt of such information from the Dean."

The publications belonging to the Council include the Jack-o-Lantern, The Bema, The Tower, the Aegis, the Green Book and The Dartmouth.
