Dartmouth winter sport contestants won the Central Division meet of the Intercollegiate Winter Sports Union at Williamstown, Mass., February 4 and 5, with a score of 39 points. New Hampshire University securing 38 points finished in second place, with Williams following. At the end of the first day's program Dartmouth was trailing the New Hampshire team which had gathered 12 points to the Green's10, but in the skating events the Hanover teani established a six-point lead.
At New Hampshire University's fourth annual winter carnival the Dartmouth men were unable to overhaul the New Hampshire experts and finished in second place. The final score gave New Hampshire 46 points, Dartmouth 28 and Williams 11. C. N. Proctor was the high scorer of the meet amassing 10 points, and Proctor and Mooney took second and third places in the ski jump, following Michelson of New Hampshire.
Four Dartmouth men represented the College in the ski jumping contest conducted by Norwich University, at Northfield, Vt. H. Whittemore of Dartmouth with jumps of 67 and 68 feet placed second in the contest.
