The University of New Hampshire triumphed over Dartmouth by a one point margin in the events of the meet of the Intercollegiate Winter Sports Union run off at Hanover February 19 and 20. New Hampshire scored 29 points, Dartmouth 28, McGill 18, Williams 11, Loyola 2, and Bates 0.

C. N. Proctor, of Dartmouth, was the high point scorer of the meet, gathering 13 points. Cunningham, of Williams, scored 10 points, and Michelson, of New Hampshire, 9.

The feature of the meet was a 130 foot jump made by Proctor off the new ski jump. Proctor's leap bettered by six feet the mark established by Bing Anderson, of Berlin, when he broke the jump record during the Winter Carnival competition.

Ten members of the Winter Sports team were awarded letters and two awarded major sports letters by the Outing Club Council, for their performances in Winter Sports meets. T. B. Farwell '26 and C. N. Proctor '28, by a special vote of the council, were given major sports letters. The usual Winter Sports letters were awarded to L. C. Conant, H. E. Greeley, C. Hadlock, and R. M. Hodgdon of the class of 1926, to S. I. Harris, R. D. Mooney, and W. B. North of the class of 1927, to J. F. Bond and L. B. Mason of the class of 1928, and to J. W. Laffey '29. C. N. Proctor '2B was elected captain of the 1926-27 Winter Sports team.
