The Dartmouth is collecting criticisms of courses and professors from 500 undergraduates picked at random from all four classes and will summarize the results sometime this month. Each man is asked to criticise all his courses except those required for freshmen.

Ten men were pledged by the three senior societies at their second pledging date recently. They are: Sphinx—A. T. Fusonie, J. L. KillKelley, H. V. Parrish, J. W. Smith; Casque and Gauntlet—J. B. Sass ; Dragon—G. W. Emery, A. J. Fowler, W. Isham, G. H. Pasfield, W. Whaley.

The College Choir of 35 voices was heard in Rollins Chapel the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The choir was directed by Prof. Whitford, and assisted by three soloists: Mrs. Robert T. Funkhouser, mezzo-soprano; I. S. Paeff '2B, violinist; and D. G. Graham '28, baritone.

The second issue of The Tower appeared before Thanksgiving featuring a short story, "Food" by Paul Mac Lean '28. E. P. Vollmer '29 contributed a series of lampoons in verse on members of the faculty. In addition to book reviews the magazine also contains two poems, and a short story by E. W. Merkel '29.

While hunting in the Dartmouth College Grant, Prof. E. Woodward, G. H. Dixon '28 and R. B. Tweedy '28 bagged a 300-pound black bear, the first big game taken by a College party this season.

The football number of the Dartmouth Pictorial with 52 pages and 125 photographs appeared the week-end of the Cornell game. This was the second largest issue ever printed.

The Dartmouth added four sophomores to the News Board recently. The new men are; E. B. Carnell of Slingerlands, N. Y., C. D. Jensen of Pasadena, Cal.; A. M. Ackley of Rahway, N. J.; and A. W. Smith of Montclair, N. J.

The announcement that the College will proceed at once with the erection of a new $100,000 hockey rink was well received by the students, who have waited patiently for this much needed addition to the athletic plant of the College.
