Professor Louis C. Mathewson of the Mathematics department has recently been appointed a member of the committee in charge of the Bureau of Personnel Research by President Hopkins. In his work Professor Mathewson will come in contact particularly with members of the sophomore classes, since he will represent the Personnel Bureau in offering advice to sophomores in regard to their majors. However, another of his duties will be to serve as the executive secretary of the group of chairmen of departments who are to be consulted regarding the choice of majors.
