WINTER SPORTS LETTERS AWARDED BY COUNCIL

C. N. Proctor '28, captain of the Winter Sports team, was awarded his second straight "D" by the D. O. C. Council. Under the new system of awarding the straight "D," to which the Athletic Council recently agreed, a certain number of points, the number decided according to the difficulty of the meet, are given to the men placing first and second. To be awarded a "D," 10 points must be won. Proctor has 18 points to his credit this year. T. T. Brittan '29 has won three points toward his "D" and A. Ryan '29 has one point. The points gained are accumulative and points won this year will count next year toward the points necessary.

The Winter Sports insignia "wDs" was awarded to the following men: S. C. Harris '27, R-D. Mooney '27, W. L. North '27, G. K. Sanborn '28, M. W. Whittemore '28, T. T. Brittan '29, J. W. Laffey '29, R. S. Monahan 29, J. H. Quebman '29, A. Ryan '29 and W. Klamroth '30.
