A rather colorless game was won from Middlebury by the score of 2 to 1 on Memorial Field May 17, Dartmouth scoring in its half of the first inning, and again in the eighth inning, while Middlebury was forced to remain without a run until the ninth inning. The Green's first inning tally was the result of a base on balls to Moran, who stole second and scored on Murphy's long single. In the eighth inning Elliott connected with a two base hit and Picken was passed. Elliott was then forced out at the plate when Stevens singled, but Picken advanced to third base and scored on a sacrifice bunt which Liberty laid down along the first base line.

In the Middlebury half of the ninth inning Heseltine scored on Kelly's hit after reaching first base on an error, stealing second base, and advancing when Anderson singled.
