Heelers Divide $120 Bonus

Four men were elected to the news board of The Dartmouth at the end of the first freshman competition. They were A. S. Leach of Winnipeg, Canada, J. W. Thorsen of New York, N. Y., J. B. Martin of Grand Rapids, Mich., and R. O. Nims of Keene, N. H. They, together with the three others who finished the competition but were not elected, shared $120. The Dartmouth has started the custom of paying its heelers for their work, regardless of whether they are elected or not. C. E. Darling '29 of Waban, Mass., was elected to the news board as a special writer.
