On Saturday, February 18, we had the finest get-together and largest turnout since the class graduated. The dinner was held at the Hotel Arlington in a private room j ust suited for such an occasion. The boys began to assemble and by the time dinner was served 35 were on hand. Sherm Clough was in charge and every one agreed he did a fine job. The most notable feature was the presence of several non-graduates. Poke Goss, Arch Giroux, and Norm Fermoyle, Frank Doten, Sherm Clough, Sherm Baldwin, Jiggs Donahue, Winn Temple, Henry Perkins, George Fuller, Cap Palmer, Doe Morgan, Brooks Palmer, Les Gutterman, Sam Horne, Chick Burke, and Larry Eager were among those present.
After the dinner the gang all went to see Dartmouth give Harvard the worst licking in the history of hockey between the two teams. Harvard was two to one favorite before the game started, but never had a chance. The victory turned what would have been a very mediocre season into a very successful season.
The week following a crowd of us went to see the track team lose a very close meet to Harvard and Cornell. As usual the lack of distant runners caused the defeat.
Sherm Baldwin phoned the other day, March Ist I believe, that he was now a proud father of a future Dartmouth hockey player. It seems that every day now some member of the class has a new addition to report.
Charlie Chadbourne was married to Ruth Wynifred Lee on February 17, at Newburyport, Mass.
At this time the plans for the "BIG FIFTH" should be mentioned. At present everything is all set and all arrangements are made for the largest reunion in the history of the college. The boys are enthusiastic all over the country and so no one has said they couldn't be on hand. Complete details as to various functions, costume and the expense will be made known by the middle of April. Let's begin talking it up. It will be five years before we have another organized gathering.
