The athletic council has awarded numerals for freshman hockey team and has ratified the election of two captains.

Six freshman hockey players were awarded numerals on the basis of the insignia meets played in. Those men receiving numerals are: H. Andres, Newtonville, Mass., R. Fisher, Waban, Mass., W. W. Grant, 111, Denver, Colo., H. L. Johnson, Jr., Waban, Mass., J. A. Kimball, Hingham, Mass., and V. E. Rockhill, Jamaica, N. Y.

The election of Andres as captain of the freshman puck-chasers was also ratified by the council. Andres has played in all of the games and was one of the outstanding players on the squad.

R. S. Monahan '29, of Pawtucket, R. 1., was appointed captain of the cross-country team. He is a member of the Gamma Delta Epsilon fraternity and did some outstanding work with the cross-country team this year. Last year Monahan was out for the track team.

Two other matters were taken up by the Council at this meeting. A. O. Berger '29 was appointed to succeed R. Rimbach '29, who has left college, as assistant manager of the fencing team. Also a Lacrosse game not on the schedule has been arranged with St. Lawrence University of Canton, N. Y., for May 4.
