PRELIMINARY PROGRAM FOR SECOND NATIONAL POW WOW – CHICAGO—NOVEMBER 23-24, 1928
JUNE, 1928

The Chicago Alumni Association, through its committee on the Pow Wow, has drawnup a tentative program for the two-day Dartmouth reunion which will be held in Chicago on November 23 and 24 at the time of the Dartmouth-Northwestern football game. Warren Agry '11, Chairman of the Committee, has arranged with the management of the Stevens; Hotel for the reservation of four completefloors for Dartmouth guests and more space will be provided if necessary. In addition to rooms for guests the hotel management has promised to turn over the Grand Ball Roomand several committee and conference rooms for use during the Pow Wow. Although it is as yet too early to announce the final program the following plans will' probably be carried out: Friday: 8:00 a. m. Registration of alumni at the Stevens. 10:00 a. m. Opening session at the Stevens with members of the alumni body and representatives from the college presenting short talks on timely subjects. 1:00 p. m. Buffet luncheon at the Stevens.

2:00 p. m. Dartmouth Freshmen vs. Lake Forest Academy, probably at Soldiers Field. 7:00 p. m. Grand Pow Wow and banquet for alumni only. President Hopkins as guest of honor and principal speaker.

Saturday: 12:00 noon Luncheon at the Stevens. 1:00 p. m. Busses leave the Stevens for Northwestern Station where special trains will take party to Evanston. 2:00 p. m. Dartmouth vs. Northwestern at Dyche Stadium. 7:00 p. m. Dinner dance for alumni and guests at the Stevens.

The Pow Wow is primarily an enterprise of the Chicago Alumni Association but owing to the success of the first Pow Wow in 1923, the College and the Alumni Council have realized that its influence is more than local and consequently the Chicago Association has the approval and the backing of the College and the Alumni Council in preparing for the reunion. The Dartmouth College Athletic Council has agreed to send the Band to Chicago for the weekend. It is probable that the Board of Trustees and the Alumni Council will hold their fall meetings there and large alumni club delegations are expected from all over the country.
