"April 21, 1928

"My dear President Hopkins, "I would like to take this opportunity of expressing on behalf of The Round Table our sincere appreciation of the part the board of trustees plays in making Dartmouth the remarkable institution it is.

"There are few colleges where the liberal element may pay their heartfelt respect to the trustees without indulging in hypocrisy. At Dartmouth, however, this is possible. We of The Round Table respect and revere the trustees of Dartmouth and realize our debt to them for their work in furnishing a liberal college where truth and idealism may flourish unafraid. It is a debt that cannot be expressed in words, and we shall do our best to see that our actions follow the fine example they set for us.

"Most sincerely, (Signed) William A. Hunt "Pres. The Round Table"
