Balloting is now in progress for membership in the Alumni Council following the nomination by the alumni in the various districts. Contests are under way in two of the districts, the New England States and the Middle andSouthern States. In the former district the following alumni were nominated: Arthur A. Adams '94 of Springfield, Mass., Francis G. Blake 'OB of New Haven, Conn., and John W. Pearson '11 of Concord, N. H. In the Middle and Southern States district the following men qualified for nomination: George H. Howard '07 of New York City, Richard Remsen '12 of New York City, and Wright Hugus '13 of Wheeling, W. Ya.

In the three remaining districts the balloting resulted in the nomination of one man only in each district. In the Central States Robert B. Keeler 'll of Cleveland was nommated and without further balloting will succeed Henry McK. Haserot '10 of Cleveland. In the Western States district Warren S. Carter '10 is renominated to succeed himself for a second term and in the RockyMountain and Pacific States district Edgar W. Hiestand 'lO is likewise renominated to succeed himself. Election ballots will be received from the two districts in which contests are under way until the close of the polls on June 10.
