Roland Hayes returned to Dartmouth for the third time, after an absence of two years, on April 23, in the fourth and final concert, which brought to a close the present concert season. At this, as at the other performances, a capacity audience was held spellbound by the warmth and beauty of his voice and his inspired singing of negro spirituals. At a ballot taken among the students last year to decide the artists who were to be invited for this present season, Mr. Hayes received the greatest number of votes from among 50 artists.
