President Hopkins announced at the Alumni Luncheon, June 18, the following gifts and bequests of $1,000 or more which have been made to the College during the year ending June 30:

Bequest of Edwin Webster Sanborn (1878) for a building and endowment to provide books for the Library $1,600,000.00 General Education Board for an endowment to support the development of the honor courses 750,000.00 Edward Tuck for a new Tuck School Plant (making a total amount available of $700,000.00) 575,000.00 Frank P. Carpenter on account of gift for Fine Arts Building (supplementing amount paid last year) 215,000.00 Florence Lindsay Johnson, widow of William Pierce Johnson (1880), to be utilized for scholarships 100,000.00 Class of 1900, application of accumulated class fund for construction and furnishing of Outing Club House 41,839.00 Class of 1900, gift on account of Outing Club House 8,250.00 Class of 1913, application of accumulated class fund to meet the cost of the reference room in Baker Library; this room to be known as the Class of 1913 room 22,85.5.00 Gift of B.
