W. W. Flint returned recently from a long trip through the West, which included the Pacific Coast from Vancouver to San Diego. In California he was warmly welcomed by five classmates, Conner, Davis, Flanders, Ham, and Johnson.
The seventy-fourth anniversary of St. Paxil's School at Concord N. H., occurred June 5, 1930. The following is from an account of that event in the Concord DailyMonitor:—-"The most impressive moment at the luncheon was that of the unveiling of the portrait of William Willard Flint, who last year retired after 51 years of service as registrar. The portrait is by the artist Louis Betts of New York, and was unveiled by Mr. Flint's grandson, Robert W. Flint. The unveiling was accompanied by the reading of the following tribute from the trustees of the school: 'The trustees of St. Paul's School gratefully record their affectionate appreciation of 51 years of notable service rendered by William Willard Flint. No one in the history of the school has shown greater devotion to duty or has exercised a stronger spirit of intelligence and charity. A constant student of the classics and as keen a student of human affairs, Mr. Flint became among his colleagues a veritable ready reference, a center of light and leading, a source of good sense and sympathy. In adopting this minute, which will be forever inscribed on the records of the school, the trustees desire to present this scroll to their dear friend, for himself and his family.' "
