The fall meeting of the trustees of the College was held in Parkhurst Hall October 27 with a full attendance including, besides [President Hopkins, A. 0. Brown '78, C. G. DuRois '91, W. R. Gray '04, F. A. Howland '87, E. W. Knight '87, C. B. Little '81, J. R. McLane 'O7, Lewis Parkhurst '78, H. . Thayer '79, and M. C. Tuttle '97.
The agenda of the meeting included the consideration of the budget, the awarding of degrees, new elections and appointments, granting of leaves of absence and hearing of reports of the executive committee and the committee on physical development and maintenance of the plant.
Degrees of Bachelor of Arts were awarded to A. W. Diack and A. R. Welch as of the class of 1929. The Bachelor's degree as of the class of 1930 was awarded to the following men: S. H. Allen, F. Bowes, Jr., F. V. Doherty, H. O. Erskine, C. K. Faye, J. O. Garrison, L. S. Goldschmidt, Jr., E. E. Hartwell, M. K. Horwitt, E. W. Seldon, H. D. South, Jr., E. S. Waters, D. E. Whitelam, R. C. Wilcomb, and T. R. Wolf.
The degree of Master of Commercial Science was granted to J. K. Sullivan.
New election: George W. WoodwOrth as assistant professor of finance and statistics in the Tuck School.
New appointments: Frank A. Rogers as instructor in geology, Alva B. Crobaugh as instructor in economics, Stephen J. Schlossmacher as instructor in Get man, Richard P. Carter as instructor in comparative religion, Joseph S. Piazza as part-time instructor in French, John E. Nichols as part-time instructor in art.
Leave of absence for the academic year 1930-1931 has been granted to Prof. Arthur Fairbanks of the Department of Art.
Leaves of absence for the first semester of the present academic year were granted to Warren A. Adams, professor of German, and Howard F. Dunham, assistant professor of French. Leave of absence for the second semester was granted to James MacKaye, lecturer in philosophy.
Prof. Raymond W. Jones of the Department of German was granted leave of absence for the academic year 1931-1932.
Miss Ellen F. Adams was appointed assistant librarian.
