On December 10, he was the guest and principal speaker of the Manchester (New Hampshire) alumni at a dinner held at the Hotel Carpenter. He recently spoke to the class agents of Boston and vicinity, and also to the agents of New York, when dinners were held for the purpose of going over plans for the coming Fund campaign. F. H. Leggett '98, chairman of the Fund committee, presided at the dinners, which were held at Boston, January 15, and at New York, January 16. Robert C. Strong '24, secretary of the committee, spoke at each of the meetings.
The Thayer School alumni listened to President Hopkins at their annual meeting and dinner held in New York City, January 17. The following evening President Hopkins gave the principal address at the Hotel Plaza banquet of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York City. Professor Arthur Howe of the faculty spoke at the dinner and a quartet from the Dartmouth Glee Club entertained with several selections.
President Hopkins's itinerary for the next few weeks calls for several addresses before alumni clubs for which dates are not definitely settled at the present time. The dates of two of these, however, have been announced. These are Chicago, Friday, February 14, and Boston, Saturday, March 1.
