APRIL 1930

Ballots will shortly go out to alumni for the annual elections to the Alumni Council. The polls close June 10 and voters are urged to return their ballots to the Secretary at once. Contests are under way in three of the districts: the New England States, Middleand Southern States, and Central States.

In the New England States district the following alumni were nominated: Ernest J. Eddy '01 of Hartford, Connecticut; Carl F. Woods '04 of Boston, Massachusetts; Charles Raymond Cabot '12 of Boston, Massachusetts.

In the Middle and Southern States district the following men qualified for nomination: Edwin R. Bartlett '04 of Niagara Falls, New York; Waldo B. Potter '2O of Rochester, New York.

In the Central States district Jesse B. Hawley '09 of St. Charles, Illinois, and Whitney H. Eastman 'lO of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, were nominated.

In the two remaining districts the balloting resulted in the nomination of one man only in each district. In the Western States district Leigh C. Turner '04 of St. Louis, Missouri, was nominated and without further balloting will succeed Isaac W. Carpenter, Jr., '15 of Omaha, Nebraska. In the Rocky Mountainand Pacific States district Walter T. Sumner '98 of Portland, Oregon, is nominated to succeed himself.

Election ballots will be received from the three districts in which contests are under way until the close of the polls on June 10.
