Praise for California

To the Editor: In behalf of the football squad and the Dartmouth Athletic Council I should like to express through your columns our appreciation of the hospitality extended by Dartmouth men and friends of Dartmouth on the Stanford trip. Alumni in Chicago made our few hours there very pleasant. When we reached San Francisco, after being greeted by friends at stations throughout the west, we were given a royal welcome which lost no warmth or cordiality during our stay at San Mateo.

It remained for the alumni of Southern California to put the finishing touches on our California pilgrimage. Led by Henry Hobart '05 and Howard R. Newcomb no effort was spared to make that Sunday in Los Angeles an eventful and enjoyable occasion.

If the trip bred good will for the College it was in no small degree due to our hosts' united loyalty and the thoughtful consideration for Dartmouth and its representatives which was at all times evidenced by the alumni.
