Lemuel G. Hodgkins '00 reported upon the activity of the athletic council during the past few months. He said that funds for the squash courts now under construction are being taken from general funds of the council. He distributed copies of the financial record of the council for the year, as well as the record of the various teams engaged in intercollegiate competition. He complimented the College on having available the services of H. R. Heneage '07, supervisor of athletics, who, he said, has built up a large number of valuable contacts for the athletic council and the College.
Mr. Heneage continued with the report of the athletic council, prefacing his remarks with the statement of his regret that this would be the last meeting he would attend with Mr. Hodgkins who retires at this time, having concluded two terms of service on the council. Mr. Heneage spoke concerning the great development of the intramural athletics program at Dartmouth. He said that investigation had shown that Dartmouth's intramural program is as extensive as that of any other college and more complete than that of most colleges. Mr. Heneage answered questions during the informal discussion which followed this report.
