CLASS OF 1877

With the passing of Solon Rodney Towne (see Necrology) the last of our undergraduate instructors has gone. In the catalogues for our freshman and sophomore years his name is given as instructor in gymnastics, and I think we all have a vivid and pleasant memory of his labors with us in Bissell Hall. The word "undergraduate" is written with special intent, for those of us who did graduate work in the Thayer School are well aware that Professor Robert Fletcher is still with us.
