At Carpenter Hall a fine exhibit of Mahonri Young's work, as well as other incidental exhibits brought there from time to time by the enterprising Art Department . . . in Baker Library a showing of student creative work which has been done under the tutelage of Carlos Sanchez '23 ... in Reed Hall the new slanting seats which offer more rest and less sleep in classes . . . and the old Hall smells better than it did when last we were in it . . . crowds of boys clustered around the windows of Webster on those nights when the Glee Club rehearses, or the band or Barbary Coast practices ... in six different dormitories six different varieties of dormitory hockey, without a doubt the noisiest game in the world . . . the inevitable youth and the inevitable crowd slouched over the long-suffering piano in Commons . . . the industrious Medics swarming from their buildings between classes to get a few minutes of chilly and refreshing exercise.

And, as we write, black skiers skim out into the moonlight, a lazy warm conversation holds in the next room, a few light verses come in from the street, and a sharp, cold, and happy wind swirling through our shutters invites us to Hanover's quiet sleep.
