While attending the New England Conference at Boston recently the Secretary chanced to meet Bob Fitts at lunch and had a chance to have a good visit on Ye Olde Dartmouth Days. Bob has lost none of his usual optimism nor any of his excess weight.
Dale and Bess Barker announce the safe arrival of Richard Dale Barker. Congratulations to the Barkers from all '15ers. Lest you feel that you are too far ahead of the present holder of your old position as class secretary, let it be noted here that Gladys and Dave will present at the next class reunion Robert Paul Davison, now aged five, as their adopted son.
To date only 60% of the average for the past two years have satisfied the persistent demands of Treas. Charles R. Taplin. Tap says that things would seem much brighter in Orleans, Vt., if some others drop him a note (or a check, if funds are available).
Can someone help to locate Verona, N. J.! After nine months and three days Roy Lafferty replies with disparaging remarks about the golf game of Gus Braun. Also there is news of a meeting at Charlie Griffith's house with Chuck Woodcock, Ray Perry, Kel Rose, and Russ Durgin and the wife of each. Further details are to follow in the next report from Laff.
Augie Atwood sends a much appreciated letter of condolence to the scribe for political upsets of the recent past. The same to you, Augie, for the Republican flop in your district! Glad to hear that the son now at Milton Academy is headed for Dartmouth.
Among those to whom a letter was sent and no reply received last- month are Doc Adams, Phil Alexander, Leon Aronowitz, Doc Atwood, Murray Austin, Johnnie Bache-Wiig, Fred Bartlett, Bill Bemis, Don Bennint, Harry Bickford, Bob Bigelow, Gene Bissell, Phil Blodgett, Art Boggs, Ben Borella, Dr. Bowler, and E. At times such as this it is impossible to express the heartfelt sympathy of every member of this class to John Loomis and his family. Words are inadequate, but our feelings are most sincere.
