At the June meetings of the Alumni Council and the General Association of Alumni it was necessary to choose a successor to L. K. Neidlinger '23 as one of the three alumni members of the Athletic Council. Mr. Neidlinger had completed his term of service of six years, during the last two of which he was president of the Athletic Council. The Alumni Council nominated Edwin B. Dooley '27 and this nomination being accepted by the General Association, Mr. Dooley was declared elected to the Athletic Council for a term of three years from July 1. He is remembered as a star football player on the 1923 and 1924 teams. And he was also a member of varsity basketball, track, and baseball squads during his undergraduate days. Since 1927 he has received a law degree from Fordham University and has distinguished himself as a sports writer for the New York Sun and in broadcasting over the Columbia system.

The other alumni members of the Athletic Council are C. G. McDavitt 'oo, who was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the death of E. K. Hall '92, and J. T. Gilman 'O5.
