Following one victory, one tie, andthree hair line defeats in five majorbattles in a row, four away from home, the Dartmouth eleven ran plumb intodisaster in its final contest againstChicago and was snowed under, 39 too. It was the second meeting betweenthe two teams, and the Maroon forcesgot ample revenge for the Green victory of 1925.

Jay Berwanger led the Chicago onslaught, gaining most of the victors'yardage and scoring twice himself, once after a dash of 61 yards. Trailing15-0 at the end of the half, Dartmouthmade its best showing in the thirdquarter, but gave way completely inthe final period when Chicago madethe most of intercepted passes to scorefour more touchdowns.
