We would like to begin this contribution by taking back all we said in the last issue about the ideal wintry weather. Once again the Hanover snows have disappeared, once again we have a hockey team without ice upon which to practice and once again our spirits are continually depressed by the clouds of black gloom which completely surround the members of the D. O. C. Carnival Committee.
The plight of the last named group is perhaps the more pitiful. The hockey team by this time is used to iceless seasons, but somehow or other the blithe optimistic spirits who control the destinies of the Outing Club always looks forward to snow and ice no matter how often they may be disappointed. To make matters worse, they had just planned a good old-fashioned Sweitzer Schutzenfest and according to The Dartmouth were planning to have a Swiss village sprout on the slopes of the golf course. Everyone knows that a Schutzenfest without snow is like a Campion sale without a Co-op sale. For the sake of the harassed D. O. C. men we hope for snow and plenty of it.
Carnival Thrill Ski jumping is climax of the program.
