A post card from the Texas Citrus King, Charlie Huntley, proves that he has become not only an expert typist, but also a student of Spanish. Unfortunately, we don't read Spanish, but our best translation is that he has at last succeeded in crossing a lemon tree with a sugar cane and a juniper berry so that all you have to do is throw in a little fizz water to get a nonalcoholic Tom Collins. Think of the unlimited prospects for this product when prohibition is repealed. If this is not the correct translation, Charlie, please write a nice long letter correcting us.
To continue with the Southern news, we have a note from the metropolis of Paw Creek, N. C. Charlie Gibson was married to Miss Mary Alice Burns of Smyrna, S. C., on June ist last. Charlie also states that Bill Satterfield is in Charlotte, N. C., working for the Maryland Casualty Company. Last month in this column we reported that Russ Blanchard had recently been married, but that when or to whom was still a mystery to us. The mystery, however, has now been solved, for some kind friend in the alumni office of Worcester Academy sends the following clipping: "G. RussellBlanchard '27, married September 3, MissBarbara Senior, Easton, Conn."
Under the able direction of Bill Spinney the Boston '27 crowd held their monthly dinner on Saturday, January si. This dinner was novel in two respects. First, it was held at the very attractive Dartmouth Outing Club of Boston Cabin in Groton, and second, it was a mixed party. There were present fourteen members of the class, and all but two or three of them were accompanied by a wife or what have you. After a very tasty meal of Boston Baked Beans and Roast Scotch Ham with fixin's, prepared by Chef Spinney, the evening passed all too quickly with various forms of merriment, including a swell song-fest. Those present of the class were: Bill Spinney, Ed Johnson, Gus Cummings, Rog Bury, Johnny Blanchard, Frank Wetmore, Charlie Paddock, Bert Gustin, Hans Paschen, Ed Batchelder, Bob Dalrymple, Phil Fowler, Hue Norris, and your Secre- tary.

Before closing may we be pardoned for a few questions? Does not anyone in the class think his own particular activities are of sufficient interest to be interesting to others in the class? Doesn't anyone enjoy reading this column sufficiently to help keep it filled? And if you don't enjoy it, isn't there something you can do to help make it better? Don't say, "Yes, shoot the Secretary."
