A second course in the Theory and Practice of Competitive Athletics was opened on February 6 under the Department of Physical Education. Last semester 25 men reported for instruction in the essential teaching requirements for football, basketball, squash and boxing. The course this semester is divided into three groups: A—Gymnastics, Hockey, Lacrosse, and Swimming, taught by Coaches Kaney, Bower, Dent, and Hazelton; B—General Conditioning and Training, under Coach Hillman; and C—Baseball, Lifesaving, Tennis, Track and Field, and Cross-country, taught by Coaches Tesreau, Delahanty, Gilligan, Hillman, and Cohn. Group B is required for all men, while one sport may be elected from each of the other two groups.
