Football
With the loss of quarterback Mark Johnson '90, fullback David Clark '90, and wide receivers Tom Parker '90 and Nick Stanham '90, the Green will have to rely on its defensive strength (second in the league last year) and its younger offensive talent if it is to challenge Yale and Princeton for the Ivy League title.
The Green's secret offensive weapon: kicker Dennis Durkin '93.
Field Hockey
Coach Mary Twyman will be looking for a rebound from a disappointing 1989 campaign (4-10-1,1-5 Ivy).
Men's Soccer
After a tough season last year (7-6-1, 3-4 Ivy), the booters will be looking to goalkeeper Jesse Bradley '92, who recorded six shutouts.
Women's Soccer
New coach Steve Swanson will be working with goalkeeper Deb Tripaldi '91, who recorded eight shutouts in 1989, and Tracy Hagan '92, who scored 9 goals and 5 assists. Last year's tally: 7-4-3, 3-1-2 Ivy.
Men's Cross-country Coach Vin Lananna returned to the Hanover Plain and chances are good for a seventh consecutive Heps championship.
Women's Cross-country
The team finished second to Yale in last year's Heps and a respectable 18th in the national NCAA meet. The prognosis looks good for another strong year.
