Horace Greeley succeeds Billy Jarvis, who succeeded Charley Gordon as class agent for the Alumni Fund. Charles and Billy put in a lot of time on a hard job, and those who knew best what they were up against appreciated most highly their efforts. Horace takes hold at a tough time, and his willingness to do so deserves the hearty support of all of us, whether we find that we can give little or much.

Doctor Martyn writes the Secretary in his tisual cheerful vein and reports hearing from Jim Van Horn that the latter has reached a weight of 177 pounds in his successful comeback to better health. Our other Vermont M.D., Doctor Burbank, we hear through Billy Mann, was in a Burlington, Vt., hospital for an operation a while ago, but is now back on his job at Cabot. Senator Calef had to interrupt his legislative service for a fortnight's stay in a Dover hospital with a bad throat, but got back to the state house for the end of the session.

President Guy Cox was at the state house the other day to consult with the state commissioner of agriculture about his herd of registered Guernseys at Chichester Brook Farm. Judge Ted Weston came in from Derry the next day to get a first-hand view of the emergency legislation in progress. The day after that the Secretary had lunch with Billy Mann and Charley French. Quite a '93 week in the capital city!

It now seems probable that some members of the class will attend their first reunion next June. If all the stand-bys also show up we can have a record-breaking attendance.

Arnold's recent activities include election to the board of governors of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern New Jersey; being chosen a member of the New Jersey Council of Education; and serving as judge at an intercollegiate debate at Montclair, N. J.
