Cameramen from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios spent ten days in Hanover, beginning with the Carnival period, filming various views and winter activities of the College for a "short" to be released some time in the spring. Jack Draper, famous M. G. M. cameraman, flew from Hollywood to direct the filming of the short, and was assisted by three cameramen from New York.

Carnival scenes, winter sports events, and action shots of the hockey team were the main items covered in over 7,000 feet of film. Two days were spent at Mt. Moosilauke filming Otto Schniebs' best skiers on the new Hell's Highway run. Comedy throughout the short will be supplied by George E. Cogswell '34, of Winnetka, ILL., who was cast as a bespectacled student who tries everything without success.

Assistance in the filming of Hanover lite was provided by the Dartmouth Outing Club and the Secretary's office. Maurice H. Rapf '35, of Los Angeles, made preliminary arrangements for the short and assisted Mr. Draper in the direction.
