Plans for a second "No Quota" Alumni Fund drive were outlined at the annual meetings of class agents in New York and Boston on March 15 and 20, respectively. President Hopkins was present at both dinners, each of which attracted a record attendance of approximately fifty class agents, assistant class agents, and others associated with Alumni Fund work. A similar meeting for class agents in the Chicago area will be held at the Drake Hotel on April 4.
John C. Sterling '11, chairman of the Alumni Fund committee, outlined plans for the 1934 campaign at the New York and Boston meetings, and President Hopkins discussed informally various affairs of the College. Albert I. Dickerson '30, executive secretary of the Alumni Fund committee, also spoke at both meetings. Various methods and details of the campaign were discussed by the class agents, in preparation for the opening of the drive about the middle of April.
Under the "No Quota" policy, which was adopted last year because of unsettled economic conditions and which will be continued this year because conditions have not improved substantially for many alumni, the Alumni Fund Committee will delegate almost the entire responsibility to class agents. In addition to its opening announcement this month, the Committee will make only one further appeal near the end of the campaign.
