The Dartmouth Plaque for scholarship has been awarded by the committee on admissionto the Tower Hill School of Wilmington, Delaware, whose delegation of three men in the freshman class secured a scholastic average of 3.3 for the first semester. The members of the delegation are John W. Brown of Montchanin, Del.; Robert L. Bryan of Wilmington, Del.; and Charles B. Moseley of Wilmington, Del.
This is the first year that the Tower Hill School has had three representatives in the freshman class, and consequently the first year that it has been eligible to receive the plaque. Two of the three men-Brown and Moseley—were Junior Selections, and were admitted to College one year in advance of the completion of their preparatory school work.
Seven other schools are represented among the ranking delegations in the freshman class. They are Roxbury Latin School, West Roxbury, Mass., four men, 2.82; Lincoln School of Teachers College, New York City, three men, 2.8; Cleveland Heights High School, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, three men, 2.76; Francis W. Parker School, Chicago, three men, 2.73; Montclair High School, Montclair, N. J., five men, 2.66; William H. Hall High School, West Hartford, Conn., four men, 2.65; and Montclair Academy, Montclair, N. J., four men, 2.65.
In addition to the Cleveland Heights High School, which won the plaque last year, the Lincoln School, the Francis W. Parker School, and the Montclair High School have been included among the ranking schools in previous years.
Council Nominee from Cleveland Supported by the alumni in Cleveland, William H. Bemis '18 is a candidate for the Alumni Council in election which begins this month and ends June 11.
Again New England Councillor Dr. Arthur H. Ruggles '02 of Providence reelected to his second term as member of Alumni Council from New England States district.
