Marks' Body Found
May 1934

The body of Clarence L. Marks Jr., Dartr mouth senior who disappeared from College on December 10, was found in the Connecticut River near Northampton, Mass., on April 18. Identification was made by his parents, who took the body to Philadelphia for burial.

It is believed that Marks committed suicide at the time of his disappearance, and that his body had been unable to rise to the surface of the river until the water became warm. Efforts to locate Marks, either dead or alive, had been renewed only a few days before the discovery of his body. During the period of four months in which no trace of the missing senior could be found, several clues in this country and Canada were investigated.
