Some few items o£ interest were learned too late for the June number of the MAGAZINE.

Ron Millar is "writer-editor" with F. E. Compton & Co. in Chicago. He has "three children (oldest, 5 ft. 11 in. of mathematical sharkhood inherited from some ma- ternal ancestor)." For the past ten years the "Cardinal" has been writing, producing one book, a constellation of short stories, a scattering of magazine articles, and a motion picture script.

In March Nate Lenfestey was given a testimonial dinner by all the department heads in the City Bank to celebrate his birthday and some eighteen years service to the bank. The banquet, attended by about one hundred men, was held at the Waldorf with special menus bearing Nate's picture, and he was presented with an antique silver coffee urn, a large Sheffield tray, and silver candlesticks. It is well known in banking circles that Nate has done a most outstanding job as cashier, particularly during the last trying five years. This testimonial from his associates was certainly significant. Nate has been treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of New York since it was established in 1926; he was a member of the Dartmouth Athletic Council for six years, and is now a member of the Alumni Council. His oldest boy is at the Hill School preparing for Dartmouth; the second one enters Hill this fall.

CHANGE FROM CAROLINA

George Watts and family now spend much of the summer at Orleans, Cape Cod, where they have put up a modest house on the "Town Cove," where he has owned land for a couple of years. The entire vacation from Davidson College in North Carolina is spent there, with perhaps a trip into New Hampshire. Carl and Grace Forsaith, Don and Dora King, and Buck Freeman were visitors at the Watts' home in Davidson this past winter. On March 17 last, Elizabeth Stewart Watts, a very lovely adopted daughter, nine months old, was brought to the home.

GOOD FUND SHOWING

Jack Remsen was much elated and rightly so with the results of this year's gifts of the class to the Alumni Fund, especially as to the number of new men responding. If some of the old regulars had come through as usual he would have had the 85% of contributors he desired. He did a swell job, however. More power- to him next year.

Don King is teaching in the Department of Romance Languages at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio Joe Cheney is probation officer for the U. S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, located at Tampa. No news this year of his summer pilgrimage to Lebanon, N. H.

REAL RELIGION

Art Kilbourn has been pastor of the Congregational church, Eagle Grove, lowa, since Jan. 1, 1930, and in 1932 he took over the work of the village and rural churches at Gait, lowa. Having no car of his own, he has had to hitchhike 24 miles every Sunday. He and Mrs. Kilbourn have four daughters, the eldest being 11 years old.
