Warren Chivers, Dick Durrance, and Ted Hunter, all members of Dartmouth's championship ski team, have been named members of the United States Ski Team which will compete in the fourth Olympic Winter Games in Germany next February. Lincoln Washburn, a fourth member of the Dartmouth team, will be permitted to join the American squad if funds make it possible. The squad is expected to sail from New York on January 3, the Dartmouth members dropping out of college for the remainder of the year in order to represent the United States in the Olympic Winter Games.

Durrance, Hunter and Washburn finished among the top four Americans in the combined slalom and downhill Olympic trials at Mt. Ranier, Washington, last April 13 and 14, while Chivers was outstanding in the earlier jumping and cross-country trials. The Dartmouth skiers have received their training under Otto Schniebs, Green ski coach, and their most valuable experience on Hell's Highway, the famous downhill trail of the Dartmouth Outing Club at Mt. Moosilauke.
