Now that the mystery which has shrouded the life of C. S. Wells has been solved—see Necrology in this issue—it is possible for the Secretary to comment on class longevity.
Of our sixty-three graduate members no less than thirty-two were living fifty years after, at the time of the reunion in 1931. We wonder what other class has so unusual a record. At present, over fifty-four years after, there are twenty-six of us.
Of the scientific division of the class, twelve in number, six are still alive: Brooks, Hale, Hutchinson, Kitfield, Phelps, Snow. Of six engineers four still survive: Hutchinson, Kitfield, Phelps, Snow. And of four clergymen there remain three: Adams, Michael, Patterson.
