Alex and Mrs. Salinger will be in Florida for a month's vacation about the time this reaches you.

Gil Brown, as president of the Massachusetts High School Masters Association, presided at the annual meeting and luncheon at Hotel Statler on January 11. He presented a galaxy of celebrated speakers in his usual graceful style.

Allen recently sent me a local paper showing the rebuilding of bridges necessitated by the Vermont flood of 1927. The state has certainly done a remarkable piece of work. Gaysville, where Allen lived, has a fine modern bridge, but this does not restore Allen's house and property which were swept away. Allen is still with C. A. Edgerton (Dartmouth '79) at Northfield.
