MEMBERS OF Cabin and Trail, the service body of the Dartmouth Outing Club, have started the fall season with customary spirit. Two new departments, the Skating Team and Fish and Game, have been organized in addition to Trips, Cabins, and Ski Team, Forestry, Trails and Shelters, Competitions, and the Secretariate. The two new divisions have had a fine start, and their popularity has been attained more rapidly than anticipated.
Pre-season activity began with the Intercollegiate Outing Club Association's College Week in the Adirondacks. Among the other colleges represented besides Dartmouth were Middlebury, Smith, Yale, Holyoke, Vassar, Vermont, Syracuse, Skidmore, Union, and Wellesley. A total of ninety students attended, showing an increasing interest in outdoor activity in the colleges, an activity which Dartmouth has led from the beginning. Will Brown '37, of Gloucester, Mass., led our delegation of fifteen, which was the largest group from one college.
